Why do we engineer bespoke Exhaust Gas Aftertreatment systems for large power generating plant?
Because no two generators - or operating profiles - are the same.
Being asked for and achieving Stage V compliance is not simply a case of “fit and forget”. Every SCR, DPF and DOC system must be carefully sized around factors such as:
• Raw NOx vs required clean NOx
• Exhaust gas mass flow
• Operating temperature
• Allowable backpressure
• Silencers, flue runs & exhaust layout
Our NOxMASTER™ SCR systems deliver up to 99% NOx reduction using open-channel catalyst technology and high-efficiency AdBlue dosing (no need for an ammonia slip catalyst) - all tailored to the generator they are fitted to.
DPFs (Diesel Particulate Filters) add another layer of complexity, often consuming most of the engine’s allowable backpressure before considering anything else in the exhaust stream (silencer, flue, SCR) and requiring ongoing maintenance where low-load operation leads to filter saturation. (E.g. monthly off-load, low temperature testing)
DOCs (Diesel Oxidation Catalysts), meanwhile, offer a simpler solution in suitable applications, operating only once minimum “light-off” temperature is reached.
With 50 years of experience Agriemach has delivered countless bespoke retrofit and new installation solutions across the UK & Ireland - backed by turnkey installation, service and support.
Correct aftertreatment design is not optional. It is critical to performance, compliance and long-term reliability.
