Nine-2-One PTFE Tape

Nine-2-One PTFE tape is a deluxe thread sealing tape, designed for sealing joints and pipework without bunching or breaking. Thanks to its high strength and density, less tape is required per application than with standard PTFE sealing tape. As its name implies, its unstretched, 9:1 ratio means that rather than have to wrap it round nine-ten times, wrapping it round once or twice will be sufficient. Depending on usage and thread quality, one roll of this PTFE tape is essentially equivalent to nine rolls of regular PTFE. Another benefit of this tape is that because a large number of layers is not required, it does not bunch and you can back off the fitting a little.

Nine-2-One PTFE is highly flexible in its application; it is suitable for use on pipes carrying fuels oils, water, steam, gases and many chemicals. It is popular within a range of engineering industries and does not break down even when in extreme contact with the fluid.
